Vernon Township is committed to offering a fun, engaging, and memorable summer camp experience for every child. Our daily activities include a variety of exciting activities such as arts & crafts, games, swimming everyday (weather permitting), lifeguard instructed swimming lessons every 3^rd day, sports, and more! Each week is built around a unique theme, and special guest entertainers will join us throughout the summer to add extra fun and excitement.

Our summer camp is open to children who will be 4 to 8 years old by September 1st, 2026. Camp hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, campers should be able to dress themselves for daily swimming and must be fully toilet trained. Parents should also pack a lunch, water bottle, bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and rain gear. Since most activities are held outdoors, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.

Our camp counselors and lifeguards are carefully selected from a group of responsible high school and college students who demonstrate strong leadership qualities, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children. All staff undergo a thorough screening process, including background checks and training in childcare, first aid, and safety protocols. In addition to the counselors and lifeguards, adult camp supervisors are always present to oversee daily operations, provide guidance, and ensure that all activities run smoothly. This team approach ensures that campers experience a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where they can grow, explore, and have fun.

June 15th through July 31, 2026 (No camp Friday July 3^rd)

Camp Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Resident Fee: $1675
Non-Resident Fee: $2100

RETURNING CAMPERS

Anyone that completed Vernon Township Summer Camp 2025 will be considered a returning camper and will be allowed to register beginning on Monday, January 26^th, 2026.

Starting Wednesday, January 28^th, 2026 all registrants will be considered new campers and will be admitted on a first come first served basis.

RETURNING CAMPER SIBLINGS

Siblings of returning campers that did not participate in the 2025 Summer Camp can submit a registration and deposit and will have priority over new campers.

NEW CAMPERS

Thank you for your interest in Vernon Township Summer Camp. New camper registration opens Wednesday, January 28^th, 2026. Please complete the registration form for your child. We will need proof of residency and proof of age (birth certificate) upon admission to camp. These items can be emailed to Chris@vernontownship.com or brought in person to 3050 N. Main St. Buffalo Grove.

Once an age group is full, participants will be added to a waitlist.

Payment

All deposits must be paid by credit card, $100 (+ 3% credit card fee $3.00). All remaining camper fees $1,572. may be paid by credit card, check, or cash. Any credit card transaction is subject to a 3% surcharge. All refunds will be paid by check.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE COMPLETING CAMP REGISTRATION

Each camper must complete an online registration form.
Proof of age (birth certificate) is required for each new camper is required before the first day of camp. Must be emailed to Chris@vernontownship.com or brought to Vernon Township offices 3050 N. Main St., Buffalo Grove to be verified.
Proof of residency is required for ALL campers (Driver’s License or State ID only). Must be emailed to Chris@vernontownship.com or brought to Vernon Township offices 3050 N. Main St., Buffalo Grove to be verified.
All registrations require a $100 nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit via credit card at the time of registration, unless otherwise noted.
The full balance is due by April 24, 2026, at 4:00pm. If not paid, the camper will be dropped, and their place will be given to the next person on the waiting list. No bill or reminder will be sent to you by Vernon Township. If you require a payment plan, you must inform the Township at the time of registration.
After May 8, 2026, refunds will only be granted for medical reasons or if the camper can be replaced can be found by Vernon Township. Once camp begins, refunds will be prorated based on when the camper’s participation ended. Camp fees will not be prorated to accommodate vacations.
You may pay the entire balance at the time of registration or before the balance due date.
