The Vernon Township Food Pantry provides nutritionally balanced food to township individuals and families who are in need of assistance. The Food Pantry is a community project supervised by the Township.
Donating to the Food Pantry
The Food Pantry consists of fresh, frozen and non-perishable foods donated by the community for residents in need. Along with donations of fresh, frozen and non-perishable foods, gift cards to local grocery stores and cash donations are accepted. View a list of our always needed items (PDF) as well as our 2023 Winter Wish List (PDF) or shop directly from our Amazon Wish List to have items shipped directly to the Food Pantry.
Vernon Township has several programs throughout the year to help less fortunate families. These Sponsor-A-Family programs include Thanksgiving dinners (November), holiday gifts (Christmas), and school supplies (July).
If your family is in need of these programs or you wish to be a sponsor, please contact Nancy Urice by calling at 847-634-4600.
