CASA Lake County

The mission of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Lake County is to promote and protect the best interest of children that have been abused or neglected, by training volunteers to advocate for them in the courts, in schools and in our community to help them find safe, permanent and loving homes.  Every year, more than 1,500 Lake County children are reported abused or neglected.

During this national emergency, CASA Lake County continues to support children and families as best as we can, while still following the state and federal orders.  We have increased our communication with children receiving our advocacy services and their foster parents whenever possible through phone and web-based platforms.  We are working to provide families in our CASA program with as many local resources as we can find to help ensure that children’s basic needs are met, including food, clothing, safe housing, and more.  Additionally, we are sharing educational tools and ideas for activities during the stay-at-home order to help make this time less stressful and more advancing of family bonds and relationships.
