Our Highway Department will be hosting a free shredding event on Monday, October 26 at the Vernon Township Administration Office, located at 3050 N. Main St. in Buffalo Grove. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Shred your canceled or unused checks, old insurance policies, old bills, old medical records and invoices. We cannot accept magazines, newspapers, manila folders or binders. This is onsite shredding event. However, should the truck fill up, there be locked containers onsite where you can safely put your documents to be shredded later. Shredding services will be provided by Opportunity Secure Data Destruction. Residents are limited to three medium sized boxes.
