Mental Health Board

The Vernon Township Community Mental Health Board is a new government organization located within Vernon Township that is responsible for promoting mental health and providing services for individuals with mental illnesses, disabilities, and substance abuse issues. Its mission is to provide resources and support to the community through funding, programs, and services. The board consists of volunteer members appointed by Township Supervisor Jon Altenberg, with the advice and consent of the Township Board.  Members include mental health professionals, community members, and individuals with personal experiences in this field. The board is committed to enhancing mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and ensuring accessible and quality mental health care for all residents of Vernon Township.
