2017 Flood Information

Waterways in Vernon Township are expected to crest by Saturday, July 5 at Noon. Vernon Township advises residents at risk to consider moving cars out of the driveways/garages and parking in Lake County Public Works parking area. Residents should also consider leaving their homes for several days.

Residents should be extra cautious when approaching flood waters. The water is rising slowly so an area that was once passable may be dangerous to navigate.

Sandbags

To date, Vernon Township has delivered over 12,000 sand bags and 194 tons of sand to residents in the unincorporated areas of the Township.

Any residents of unincorporated Vernon Township can call the Vernon Township Highway Department for a delivery of sand and empty sandbags. Please call 847-634-4600.
